WhereWere

Prove you live where you say you do.

School districts and tax offices put the burden of proof on you — and rarely give you a way to meet it. WhereWere builds an affirmative, witness-corroborated record of where you actually live, day after day.

The problem

When a school district suspects you don't live in-boundary, it can hire a private investigator to watch your home — and the burden falls on you to prove otherwise. The same shape shows up in homestead-exemption reviews, divorce residency requirements, and lease occupancy clauses. Utility bills and a lease say where you receive mail, not where you sleep. There has been no simple tool to build affirmative, ongoing proof of occupancy — until now.

How it works

Step 1

Set your home

Drop a pin on your home on a private map — no address is ever looked up or sent to a third party. Only the point you pick is saved, to your account alone.

Step 2

Stamp at home, on a schedule

A gentle reminder nudges you to tap "Clock Me Here" at home on the days you choose. Each stamp carries a server-controlled timestamp you can't backdate.

Step 3

Get it co-signed

A neighbor, landlord, or co-parent confirms your at-home stamps. Their witness turns a GPS trail into corroborated occupancy evidence.

Step 4

Export the report

Download an occupancy report for any date range: days present, witness co-sign rate, and streaks — each contributing stamp carrying a SHA-256 integrity manifest anyone can re-verify.

Who it's for

School-district residency

Districts hire private investigators to challenge enrollment. Show up with a dated, witnessed occupancy record instead of scrambling for utility bills.

Homestead exemption

Prove primary residence for a homestead exemption or property-tax appeal with a continuous, tamper-evident at-home record.

Divorce & lease residency

Residency requirements in divorce filings and occupancy clauses in leases: an independent, mutual record neither side can edit after the fact.

Not legal advice.WhereWere makes no guarantee that a record is admissible in any proceeding — admissibility varies by jurisdiction and is a decision-maker's call, not ours. What we provide is a record designed to be tamper-evident and independently verifiable: a server-controlled timestamp, a SHA-256 integrity hash anyone can re-check, and optional third-party witnesses. For legal matters, consult a qualified attorney.

It takes one tap a day. The sooner you start, the longer and stronger your occupancy record becomes.
